Welding classes can easily be taken online instead of attending one of the welding schools that could cost you up to $20,000 to attend.
Welding courses at a glance
Learning to weld at a school can be great, but for most people working full time it’s difficult and expensive to attend.
You can learn all you need to know about welding from home, and doing it on a budget.
My beginners course welding instructions will quickly and easily get you started welding as a hobby.
In this video I want to show you what weld porosity is, and how to avoid it.
Getting weld porosity is easily avoidable by making sure you’re getting good gas flow coverage around the weld puddle.
It’s caused by either not having your shielding gas on, or not having enough gas flow to the weld site to shield the weld puddle from the atmospheric gases.
Now, if you’re new to welding I’m talking about MIG welding to be clear.
However, you can get porosity in your welds when stick welding and TIG Welding.
Just to be clear I’m not hating on the welding classes at welding schools. I just know from my own experience and from the hundreds of beginners I’ve taught that welding courses are cheapest and more easily done from home.
